Are Ragdoll Cats Good Pets?
Ragdoll cats are the most amazing intelligent animal you will ever have
So, ragdolls are incredibly popular, and a lot of people absolutely love their ragdoll feline, but let's see if we can find out why. The fact is that ragdolls cats are incredibly loving and have fantastic personalities, incredibly fun to own and will definitely be fantastic companions. The trick is to make sure that you don't confuse loving with completely peddling in your arms at the slightest pet.
There's no mistaking that a ragdoll is an extremely social and laid-back cat, and while there definitely is a tendency for these cats to relax fully when you start to pet and cuddle them, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will want to be completely docile all the time.
The nice thing is that these cats are known for how much they do love people, so they will be very faithful to their owners. Also, if you enjoy having people over, your cat probably won't be so quick to run and hide as they love people.
Another great trait of ragdolls is that they aren't just friendly but calm, they're also incredibly playful. They are absolutely adorable and happen to love acting like a kitten. So, when you're looking at what kind of cat you'd like, you can expect that this particular breed will be playful, gentle and loving, which means you will see a perpetual kitten running around in your house.
Many other people may want to have pets, but, unfortunately, if they live somewhere where space is a problem, that may limit the options for pets. Thankfully, ragdolls are much better suited to adapting to smaller spaces, and will actually be able to function and thrive in an apartment. Thankfully, it definitely has something to do with the relaxing trait that ragdolls inherently have.
Also, especially if you have little time, you may be concerned about having to groom a cay daily, but thankfully, ragdolls have an amazing coat that doesn't mat, which makes it very easy for you to groom your cat once a week, which it will appreciate.
Ragdolls are also incredibly good at accepting training, especially if you actually give them time and love. They're very willing to learn and may even perform tricks over time. These are incredibly brilliant cats and so the training isn't difficult. Shaking hands, fetching, and other tricks are fairly simple for these pets. For that reason alone, many look at ragdolls as being ideal pets, as you can spend a lot of time with them and they will learn.
Another major issue that many pets can present is that they might be prone to breaking things around your home. This is especially the case with animals that jump or run around a lot, but thankfully, you won't have that problem with ragdolls. These particular felines like to keep all four paws on the ground, don't like to jump that much, and are very much inclined to walk around and stay where they'd be less likely to break things.
Now, granted, these are general traits that most ragdolls share, but that only says so much. The important thing to remember is that cats are individuals and that they each will have traits and characteristics that you'll need to keep in mind. Overall, though, the ragdoll is just a fantastic pet to have.
Above all else, a ragdoll cat will be loyal to its master
